How I’ve Done With Weight Loss This Year

It’s coming up to Christmas and the New Year, so it’s time to look back over the past year. I’ve already given you tips to handle your Christmas weight loss and next week I’ll be here giving tips for your 2014 weight loss. This year has been a successful one for me. I reached my goal, and I’ve managed to deal big events and control cravings. There have been weeks I’ve gained—and sometimes unexpectedly—but they’ve helped me reassess my weight loss goals and get back on track. There have definitely been points where I've been down. Part of my wishes that I tracked on paper as well as online. That would have allowed me to write my thoughts and feelings, to know if there was a pattern to them. Unfortunately, I didn't, but it's something I'm going to start doing for 2014. I may even use this blog to share those thoughts and feelings more than once a week. Exercise has been the biggest problem. It's not that I don't want to do exercise. I've just

Weekly Weight Loss Weeks 58 and 59

I am at goal!!! Yes, really. I reached my weight loss goal last week. It's an amazing achievement and I'm so happy. I did decide to change my goal for various reasons and got to 10st 8lbs. That's comfortably within my BMI, but the good news is that I can keep losing for a while. I think I will keep going, but only to give myself some leeway. You can read all about my two weeks here and here . I hope you're on your weight to your weight loss goals. Enjoy your Christmas and remember that you can lose weight at this time of year!

What Happens When You Reach Your Goal Weight on Weight Watchers?

What happens once you get to your goal weight on Weight Watchers? That was a question I asked on Tuesday. That’s right. I am now at my goal weight! And I still have a week to spare. It’s been a roller-coaster ride, but it really is worth it. Now it is time for maintenance. That’s what happens once you get to goal. After all, what’s the point in losing weight if you’re just going to put it back on? Increasing Points to Maintain Weight Loss The first thing that happens is the number of Pro-Points on Weight Watchers increases. The idea is that you eat enough to stabilise your weight, instead of losing it continuously. This is a personal balance for everyone. Some people find they can have six extra Pro-Points a day and others find that they can only have three or four. This is something that I am going to have to play around with over the next few weeks until I find the right balance. With those next few weeks being Christmas, it is going to be much harder.

Weekly Weight Loss Weeks 56 and 57

Over the last two weeks, I've lost two pound in total--a steady one pound each week. It's been a busy fortnight for me, which is why I missed out on posting last week's weight loss results (I did on Bubblews too). I know it shouldn't be an excuse but there are times that life just gets in the way. I've learnt a lot over the two weeks: mainly that I can have a busy life and still lose weight. I don't have to give into the cravings and do make healthy decisions, as long as they are in the house. It would have been really easy for me to give in and eat the sweets, chocolates and crisps in the house or order takeout every night but I decided to make good decisions. Here is the full post about my fortnight weight loss: http://www.bubblews.com/news/1673664-weekly-weight-loss-week-56-and-57 I hope you're weight loss is still on track. Mine is with three pound to go in three weeks. It's going to be a close one but I'm really excited. I can't beli

Things I Learnt About Weight Loss from Running a Business

Running a business and weight loss have some similarities. If you’d have said that to me a few years ago, I’d have laughed at you. It’s only been since trying to do both that I’ve found a relationship between them. Don’t believe me? Well here are some of the things I’ve learnt about weight loss from running a business. It’s All About Perseverance Nothing happens overnight. Those “overnight successes” that you hear about on the news, haven’t been quick ones at all. It has taken those behind the business months, if not years, to get everything in place to suddenly become the most talked about company. Perseverance is key to running a business, especially a successful one, just like it is key to weight loss. If you’re not willing to put the effort in, you’re not going to get very far. Those quick fix diets just don’t work—at least not in the long term. You Need to Set Goals When I first started a business, my goal was to earn more than I would in a full

My Top Weight Loss Blogs That You Should Follow

People all over the world have proven that successful weight loss comes from being accountable. Blogging is just one way of doing that and there are some blogs that I love to read. They share the ups and downs. They offer tips to reads. Most of all, they inspire others to take up the challenge of losing weight and see it through to the end. These are my favourite weight loss blogs that I recommend following. The Running Blogger Between August and November of 2011, Emily knew that she needed to do something. She was inactive, overweight and just simply wasn’t happy with her life. She wasn’t a runner or a blogger but that soon changed with The Running Blogger . She was simply the victim of a hectic life, with three part-time jobs and a social life. Her blog details every journey of her success. There are ups and there are downs. She makes it clear that she is just a regular human being with a life. Authentically Emmie Emily (also known as Emmie) documented her wh
